What reviewers say
Both praise detailed images, comfortable controls and the reassurance of a second card slot, while describing a modest improvement over the original Z7. Both find action tracking less reliable than leading contemporary rivals. Photography Blog found running-dog tracking inconsistent and little low-light focusing improvement over the original. TechRadar highlights excellent dynamic range, a deeper buffer and effective stabilisation, but notes that its screen and viewfinder lag some rivals. These launch-era assessments predate later firmware changes.
