Reviewers agree the new A6 saloon is quiet, spacious and comfortable over long distances, and rate the plug-in hybrid. The common criticisms are a smaller boot than rivals', handling that is less engaging than a BMW 5 Series and touch-sensitive controls that feel less solid than the old car's; Autocar found S line suspension on big wheels too firm.
