What reviewers say

Reviewers agree it brings sharper 4K and HDR visuals to supported games and is the PS4 to buy for owners of a 4K HDR TV. Both criticise the missing 4K Blu-ray drive; TechRadar found the benefit varies widely from game to game, and Tom's Guide considered it a little expensive.
