PlayStation 5 Pro

Released November 2024

Sony's higher-performance PS5 home console with a larger GPU, AI upscaling (PSSR) and a 2 TB SSD, for players with a 4K TV who want sharper images at higher frame rates in enhanced games.

Type: Home console
Output: 8K
Memory: 16 GB
Storage: 2 TB
Weight: 3,100 g

What reviewers say

Reviewers agree it is the best way to play PS5 games, with sharper images and smoother frame rates in updated titles, helped by PSSR upscaling and stronger ray tracing. They also agree the price is hard to justify for most players, the gains are often subtle, and leaving out a disc drive and stand is disappointing.
