What reviewers say

Reviewers found the 1500X a useful balance for mixed gaming and productive work, with its eight threads helping it beat similarly priced quad-core Core i5 processors in rendering and encoding. Its included cooler was capable and overclocking was straightforward. Intel still led several games, while the nearby six-core Ryzen 5 1600 offered more performance for sustained multithreaded work.
