What reviewers say

Reviewers agree these are light, comfortable and good value, with punchy sound, useful noise cancelling and good battery life. SoundGuys and TechRadar found the plastic build a little cheap-feeling; What Hi-Fi? found the bass slightly overdone and missed a case and folding design, and TechRadar found the sound constrained and low rumble getting through.

Pros

  • Up to 35 hours per charge with noise cancelling on (50 hours with it off)
  • 192 g, which Sony said made them its lightest noise-cancelling over-ear headphones at launch
  • Multipoint, plus a 3.5 mm cable input that also works with the headphones switched off

Cons

  • SBC and AAC only, with no LDAC
  • Doesn't fold up (folding came with the WH-CH730N), and there's no carrying case in the box
  • Not water resistant, with no IP rating
