What reviewers say

Both reviews praise compact size and useful sharpness, while noting shading, dated construction and noisy autofocus. The Digital Picture finds reasonably sharp full-frame corners but considerable flare and shading. Photozone's APS-C test finds excellent optimally focused resolution, but identifies close-range focus shift that can reduce sharpness when stopping down. Their tests use different sensor sizes.
