What reviewers say

Both reviews praise construction, manageable weight, sharpness and effective stabilisation. The Digital Picture finds strong wide-open corners with little gain from stopping down; ePHOTOzine finds its best edge-to-edge results at smaller apertures on a 5D Mark II. Autofocus is generally quick, although ePHOTOzine reports occasional misses near minimum focus. Both regard it as a capable alternative to heavier f/2.8 zooms.
