What reviewers say

Both tests value the wide-aperture sharpness and strong background blur for portraits, while finding autofocus too slow for rapidly changing subject distances. The Digital Picture highlights the weight and awkward powered manual focusing. Castleman's controlled comparison finds little optical difference from the Mark II in most portrait situations, but appreciably more flare and slower autofocus.
