What reviewers say

Reviewers find good value, useful stabilisation and improved optics over the earlier unstabilised kit zoom, but criticise plastic construction and awkward manual focusing. Photozone finds excellent resolution throughout the range; The Digital Picture reports softer results at 55 mm. Photozone struggles with backlit flare, while The Digital Picture finds flare well controlled. Both observe wide-angle barrel distortion.
