What reviewers say

Both find it sharp, well built and comfortable on full-frame Z bodies, with quick, quiet autofocus and pleasing background blur. Both see its bright aperture as useful for interiors and lower-light work. Photography Blog considers the price a major drawback and finds it slightly large for the Z50, with wide-open shading on white walls. Digital Camera World praises sharpness and contrast even at f/1.8, smooth manual-focus control and low fringing and distortion with camera corrections. Its close-range edge tests were weaker than its real-world results.
