What reviewers say
Both praise wide-open detail, rapid autofocus and balance for handheld use, while noting the price. The Digital Picture also finds strong teleconverter performance but noticeable focus breathing and limited close-up magnification. Digital Camera World dislikes the lack of collar detents and focus stops. Its Alpha 9 III field assessment predates lab testing; The Digital Picture tests a retail sample on Alpha 1.
