Galaxy Fold

Released September 2019

The Galaxy Fold is Samsung's first foldable phone, from 2019, sold in the UK as the Galaxy Fold 5G, with a 7.3-inch main screen that folds like a book, a 4.6-inch cover screen, 12 GB of RAM and six cameras, of interest to collectors and anyone tracing how foldables developed.

What reviewers say

Reviewers agree it is an innovative first-generation device that works better as a small tablet than as a phone, with good battery life and the ability to run several apps at once. The common complaints are the very high price, a cramped cover screen, a delicate inner screen and hinge, its bulk and cameras behind the best phones.
