What reviewers say

Both praise the rugged, portable design and loud, lively sound, but find sound quality little changed from BOOM 2. What Hi-Fi finds it lean and top-heavy, preferring MEGABOOM 3's fuller balance; TechRadar hears subdued mids and unclear treble. Both like the playback controls and linking features, while criticising limited playlist-service support.
