Launch reviews praised the smooth display, speed and four-speaker sound. Macworld found the larger screen and keyboard useful without much extra bulk, but highlighted iOS 10's limits for laptop work and the accessory costs. What Hi-Fi? also praised the picture quality and improved headphone sound.
