What reviewers say

Reviewers liked the metal build, smooth everyday performance, quad speakers and Samsung software, but criticised slow charging, limited base storage and weak cameras. TechAdvisor found the screen and battery life less appealing than cheaper rivals; Notebookcheck praised brightness and endurance but found the display’s colour calibration poor and unadjustable. Both considered it useful for everyday browsing and entertainment, with limited scope for demanding games.

Battery life detail
7,040 mAh typical. The later SM-X210R refresh has a separate information sheet specifying 6,820 mAh rated, energy class E, 98 hours per regulatory endurance cycle and 1,200 battery cycles; these figures are not established for the original SM-X210 and are not continuous video playback claims

Stylus support
No active S Pen support in Notebookcheck’s exact-model test
Keyboards
Dedicated EF-DX211U Book Cover Keyboard Slim connects through POGO pins, without Bluetooth or its own battery. Samsung’s South Africa page lists exact Galaxy Tab A9+ compatibility; sold separately

Sensors
Accelerometer, gyro, geomagnetic, Hall and light sensors; GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS
Materials
The original launch model has no published IP rating in the sources read. The later SM-X210R information sheet specifies IP52; this rating has not been transferred to the original model

Android 13; TechAdvisor identifies One UI 5.1. Current UK support publishes an Android 16 user guide covering SM-X210, SM-X210R and regional cellular variants. Samsung DeX provides a desktop-style interface on the tablet
In the box
USB-C cable, ejection tool and printed documentation in Notebookcheck’s European test; power adapter sold separately; US Kids Edition bundles add a Puffy Cover, three capacitive Crayo-Pens, two interchangeable tethers and stickers. US press notes require a separately sold minimum 15 W charger; Samsung’s Philippines bundle photograph includes an adapter, so bundle contents vary by region.
