Reviewers agree it is a comfortable, durable and versatile everyday trainer with a soft upper and better grip, and Believe in the Run called it the best Pegasus in years. The common criticisms are that the full-length Air Zoom unit adds little to a familiar ride and that it remains heavy; Running Shoes Guru found the toe box narrow and the foam flat.

- RunRepeat measured only 22 mm of forefoot stack and a 14 mm drop
