AVForums and HDTVTest praised the EZ952's colour accuracy, black levels and HDR10 tone mapping. HDTVTest found its Game mode responsive at 26 ms. What Hi-Fi? liked its natural SDR picture but found HDR images lacked punch and the built-in sound could be harsh.
