AVForums and What Hi-Fi? praise the ZT65's black levels, natural colour, motion handling and stable 3D image. They differ on contrast impact: AVForums calls its dynamic range exceptional, while What Hi-Fi? finds the brightest whites short of the punch it expected. What Hi-Fi? also criticises the sound and value against the cheaper VT65.
