What reviewers say

Both find strong image quality, a comfortable grip and slow live-view or movie focusing. Photography Blog welcomes the touchscreen and smaller body as useful improvements for beginners. Photo Review finds touch controls clumsy and slow, with small buttons and awkward manual exposure controls. Both see limited reason for D5300 owners to upgrade and note the loss of built-in GPS.
