What reviewers say

DPReview praised detail, colour, battery life and the manual controls, but criticised startup, zoom control and automatic white balance under artificial light. Christian Zahn’s 2023 hands-on test also found the manual controls useful and observed colour noise and clipped highlights; he considered its three-megapixel images limited by modern standards. Their tests cover different periods, and the retrospective specifications are not used over Sony’s manual.
