What reviewers say

Imaging Resource and ColorFoto liked the compact design and straightforward controls but criticised image quality, especially at higher sensitivity. Both found fine detail weakened and dynamic range limited. Imaging Resource also found strong colour shifts and soft corners; ColorFoto criticised the noisy zoom and jerky magnified playback. Their burst-speed claims differ from the maker’s finite-burst interval, so they are not used as specifications.

Lens detail
Sony 3× zoom, physical 5.8–17.4 mm F2.8–4.8, equivalent 35–105 mm. Macro approximately 5 cm wide / 35 cm telephoto from the front of the lens; exact shared instruction guide
Autofocus
Multipoint or centre AF with distance presets; face detection tracks up to three faces and adjusts focus/exposure. No continuously variable manual focus. UK archive contradicts itself on AF illuminator presence, so this feature is unresolved
Shutter
UK maker archive Auto 1/8–1/2000 second. Exposure remains automatic in Program mode
Burst detail
Exact Sony handbook hosted by B&H gives S750 approximately 1.2-second interval, maximum three frames at 7M or 3:2, four at 5M, six at 3M, 64 at VGA and ten at 16:9. Flash off; focus, white balance and exposure fixed to first shot. Published interval and finite burst are not a sustained headline frame rate
Flash
Exact instruction guide Auto ISO approximately 0.5–3.5 m wide / 0.5–2.0 m telephoto, with forced, slow-sync and off modes
Exposure controls
Auto, Program auto and seven scene modes; no manual or aperture/shutter-priority exposure. ±2 EV in 1/3 EV steps; multi-pattern, centre-weighted or spot metering. ISO Auto, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1250
