What reviewers say
Reviewers agree the eighth-generation 5 Series is a strong all-rounder: quiet and refined on the motorway, composed on twisty roads and well finished inside. Autocar and Carwow found it less engaging than earlier 5 Series, and other complaints include costly options, the lack of a diesel and, for Auto Express, a fidgety low-speed ride; Autocar disliked the touch-heavy cabin.
