Reviewers agree the i5 is exceptionally quiet and comfortable, with superb build quality and handling that is tidy for a large, heavy car. The common criticisms are a high price with costly options and range and efficiency that are good rather than class-leading; Auto Express found the steering lifeless, and Autocar felt it lacks the clear appeal of the i4 or i7.
