HS
MG's family SUV, in its second generation since 2024, sold in the UK with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, as the Hybrid+ self-charging hybrid or as a plug-in hybrid with a 75-mile electric range, suited to families who want a large SUV for the price of a smaller one.

What reviewers say
Reviewers agree the second-generation HS is roomy, comfortable and very well equipped for the money, and that the hybrid versions are much better to drive than the plain petrol, whose automatic gearbox hesitates and whose ride is bouncy. Autocar found the infotainment and driver monitoring frustrating, and What Car? noted vague steering and MG's weak reliability record.
