Reviewers agree the MG4 EV is excellent value, roomy and well equipped, with a competitive range and an enjoyable rear-drive chassis, and that the 2026 update brought a much better interior. Criticisms include road and wind noise at speed and regenerative braking settings buried in menus; What Car? found the ride unsettled on undulating roads, and Autocar found the steering short of feedback.
