What reviewers say

Expert Reviews and T3 found the KBG Select easy to use and liked its coffee. Expert Reviews praised consistency over several months but criticised uneven wetting, the lack of an automatic bloom pause and a lightweight feel at its price. T3 liked fast, quiet brewing but found cleaning the separate parts cumbersome and noticed water spilling when moving the machine. Their tests cover different finishes of the same KBG Select.

Coffee and capsule compatibility
Ground-coffee drip brewer with a nine-hole outlet arm and automatic drip-stop filter basket; not an espresso or capsule machine.
Heating system
Copper brew-water heating element; the warming plate operates separately from brewing.
Temperature control
Maker specifies 92–96°C brewing water and 80–85°C coffee on the warming plate; these are manufacturer claims, not our measurements.
Dosing and tamping
Manual suggests 60 g of filter-ground coffee per litre, or 75 g for the full jug. Coffee is dosed by hand; no integrated grinder.
Brewing conditions
Maker states a full 1.25 L jug in about six minutes. Half-pot selector slows water delivery; quantity is determined by the water and grounds added.
