What reviewers say

Reviewers find strong rendering and content-creation performance, with useful gains over the 7970X. Improvements vary by workload and do not make an upgrade essential for existing owners. The costly platform remains difficult to justify for gaming or lightly threaded work, where mainstream desktop processors offer better value.
