What reviewers say

Reviews praise gaming performance close to much dearer Comet Lake chips, overclocking headroom and the added productivity benefit of Hyper-Threading. Ryzen alternatives remain stronger value for heavily threaded work. PCIe 3.0, motherboard cost and increased power use are drawbacks; the favourable temperature results relied on substantial aftermarket liquid coolers.
