What reviewers say

Reviews find strong gaming performance for its generation, but weaker results in heavily threaded work. TechSpot's later revisit finds poorer frame-time consistency than the Ryzen 5 3600 in several newer games. Cooling costs and the platform's limited upgrade path reduce its appeal.

Cores
Six cores without Hyper-Threading; Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 supported.
Clocks
Maximum turbo is a single-core frequency; sustained clocks depend on cooling and motherboard power settings. Intel publishes TDP without a separate maximum turbo-power figure. TechSpot's 2023 revisit uses newer games; Notebookcheck's preselected and delidded sample results are separate from its ordinary retail sample.
