Reviews found capable performance and more expansion bandwidth than mainstream Haswell, but only modest gains over Sandy Bridge-E. Hardware Canucks favoured its overclocking and gaming value within X79, while Technic3D generally preferred cheaper Haswell gaming systems and saw little reason for existing X79 owners to upgrade.
