What reviewers say
Reviews find the biggest gains in integrated graphics and Quick Sync workloads, helped by the eDRAM cache. Lower stock clocks often leave CPU-heavy work behind the 4790K, giving existing Haswell owners little reason to upgrade for ordinary desktop use. Early BIOS compatibility and the cost relative to a separate graphics card weaken its appeal.
