What reviewers say

Both tests value its compact size, quiet autofocus and low price, but find uncorrected wide-angle distortion and colour fringing. The Digital Picture finds its best corners at 55 mm and improved long-end performance over the earlier STM lens; Digital Camera World finds sharpness drops noticeably there. Both regard overall image quality as modest, with good value for a kit lens.
