What reviewers say

Both reviews value its small size, stabilisation and responsive autofocus, while noting soft corners and reliance on digital corrections. Digital Camera World's pre-production test favours it as an everyday companion and finds the zoom handling pleasing. Dustin Abbott's later EOS R50 test finds the retractable mechanism clunky, limited low-light flexibility and less appeal than the longer 18–150mm zoom.
