What reviewers say

Both find its broad zoom range convenient, with good central sharpness, controlled colour fringing and effective stabilisation. Edges benefit from stopping down and wide-angle distortion needs correction. Photography Blog particularly praises autofocus on the D7100 but dislikes busy background blur and limited close-up ability. ePHOTOzine considers its original standalone price high for the performance, while seeing it as a useful kit option.
