What reviewers say

Both praise its build, fast quiet autofocus and effective stabilisation, while finding it large and heavy. Central sharpness is strong, but the edges and 70 mm results improve when stopped down. Amateur Photographer notes wide-open shading; ePHOTOzine found visible edge fringing and reduced contrast into strong light. Both regard it as a capable professional standard zoom despite those compromises.
