What reviewers say

Both find strong central sharpness and useful stabilisation, with the filter thread making this a practical landscape lens. Both identify substantial barrel distortion at 16 mm. ePHOTOzine finds good edges at shorter focal lengths on its D700, with softer edges at 35 mm; Digital Camera World is more critical of corners in its later test. Stopping down improves the longer-end edges, while wide-angle shading also needs attention.
