What reviewers say
Reviews praised clear images, smooth gradients and wide viewing angles, while criticising reflections, limited adjustment and restricted Mac compatibility at launch. Macworld found its default image too cool and bright; TechRadar also recommended calibration. They disagreed on sound, with Macworld finding limited bass and TechRadar praising clear output with strong bass.
Up to 16.7 million colours; panel bit depth is not specified. Macworld UK identifies an H-IPS LG-Philips LM240WU6-SDA1 panel; Apple describes TFT LCD without naming the IPS subtype.
