What reviewers say
Reviewers agree it is Apple's best display yet, praising the bright Mini LED panel with deep blacks and strong HDR, very sharp text, excellent colour accuracy and the 120Hz refresh. The common complaints are the high price and some haloing; Tom's Guide criticised the single video input, RTINGS found the glossy version reflective, and PetaPixel noted full performance needs a recent Mac and macOS.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Mini-LED backlight with 2,304 dimming zones; Apple quotes 1,000 nits sustained SDR, 2,000 nits peak HDR and 1,000,000:1 contrast
- 5K (5120 x 2880) at 218 ppi, refreshing at up to 120Hz with Adaptive Sync down to 47Hz
- Thunderbolt 5 hub with 140W charging, a downstream Thunderbolt 5 port and two 10Gb/s USB-C ports, plus a 12MP Center Stage camera and six speakers
Cons
- Only video input is one Thunderbolt 5 port (no HDMI or DisplayPort)
- Runs at up to 60Hz on Macs with any M1-series chip or the base M2 or M3
- The stand adjusts tilt and height only and stays in landscape; portrait use needs the VESA mount adapter, chosen instead of the stand at purchase
