What reviewers say

Reviewers agree the original iPhone's multi-touch interface is intuitive and its screen outstanding, with CNET and Ars Technica singling out the Safari web browser. All three criticise the lack of 3G and missing basic phone features; CNET found call quality variable, TechRadar the fixed-focus camera limiting, and Ars Technica the price and single-carrier lock-in hard to accept.
