What reviewers say
GSMOnline's retail-era test and Mobile-review's maker-supplied pre-sale test praise the familiar menus and welcome Java downloads, but find the phone difficult to recommend against newer rivals. Their keypad opinions differ; Mobile-review likes the rubber keys, while GSMOnline dislikes the joined rows. Both report loose covers or battery fit on their samples. Mobile-review's pre-sale observations do not establish final production quality; their battery descriptions also conflict with the archived maker brochure.
Monochrome graphic LCD, 96 × 65 pixels (GSMArena exact-model table). Text layout and font size vary by mode. No maker-published physical diagonal or refresh rate assigned.

Battery life detail
Archived German maker brochure lists standard BLC-1 at 825 mAh and optional BLC-2 at 1000 mAh. Its BLC-1 row says NiMH, conflicting with contemporary reviews' Li-ion descriptions; GSMOnline identifies a different 950 mAh pack. Chemistry and regional pack correspondence remain unresolved, so no universal chemistry claim is made. Brochure runtime claims depend on battery, network, SIM and use.
Wired charging
Maker brochure lists approximately 4 h 30 min with ACP-7E and 3 h with ACP-8E for both listed packs. Proprietary charger connection, original owner guide; no inferred wattage.

Weight detail
Archived maker brochure lists 114 g with standard BLC-1 and 108 g with optional BLC-2; headline uses the standard configuration, also reported by GSMArena and contemporary tests. Maker launch release instead says 110 g with BLC-1. Dimensions 115 × 49 × 22.5 mm are from GSMArena, matching both tests. No bare-handset mass claim.
Colours
Xpress-on front and back covers, with painted and graphic accessory covers. Brochure shows Silver, Red, Space Impact 1, Space Impact 2 and Snake variants; these are cover choices rather than distinct generations.
Buttons
Physical number keypad, two selection keys, call/end keys, scroll keys and power key, original owner guide. Rubber numeric keys are joined in horizontal rows; contemporary test observations are qualified in the review summary.

Software features
Maker launch release confirms MIDP 1.0 Java, picture editor, animated 3D screensavers, repeated alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer, reminders and automatic keyguard. Five embedded games are Space Impact, Bantumi, Snake II, Bumper and Link5, plus one replaceable Java game. External Nokia Music Player pictured in the brochure is a separate accessory; it does not establish built-in MP3 playback or FM radio.
Release detail
Announced 12 March 2002 with planned second-quarter shipments. Nokia's 18 July second-quarter results confirm actual European shipments during that quarter; no first worldwide month is given, so year precision is retained. No claim that the Indian 3315 is identical hardware or that a review's expected June sale is a confirmed first-sale date.
Performance
Memory
Maker launch release specifies 200 internal phonebook entries and 150 kB reserved for downloading Java applications. The application allocation is not total handset storage or RAM; it is not converted into a generic storage configuration.
Storage type
No memory-card slot (GSMArena).
Connectivity
Mobile network
GSM 900/1800, maker launch release and original guide. WAP 1.1 with push support; no GPRS or EDGE (GSMArena). Circuit-switched browsing and downloads incur network charges.
SIM
Mini-SIM, installed behind the battery as illustrated in the original guide.
