What reviewers say

TechRadar and FlatpanelsHD both find deep blacks, good shadow detail and strong pictures from the 42-inch panel despite its sub-1080p resolution. TechRadar praises smooth motion and standard-definition scaling but notes occasional orange-looking reds; FlatpanelsHD reports accurate out-of-box colour yet saw a faint green phosphor trail in one game and disliked the rear-facing sockets.

Picture processing
TechRadar names V-Real 3 processing and 100 Hz anti-flicker processing for the exact 42-inch set. Panasonic's UK menus provide colour management, P-NR noise reduction and 3D-COMB for analogue signals; the 100 Hz marketing is not treated as native refresh.
Picture modes
Dynamic, Normal, Cinema and Eco; Eco adjusts picture settings for ambient lighting.
Motion handling
Panasonic lists 1080p/24, /50 and /60 as supported HDMI input signals, not as native panel refresh rates. TechRadar found camera pans stable; FlatpanelsHD observed a faint green phosphor trail while gaming.
