What reviewers say

What Hi-Fi praised the KDL-40W5500's detailed Blu-ray picture, motion and easy menus, but found conspicuous backlight unevenness on its sample. HDTVTest's exact UK KDL-40W5500U testing praised cleaner motion and sharper SD scaling than the W4500, while noting some clouding and greater game-mode input lag. The reviews differ in how distracting the backlight issue was after adjustment.
