What reviewers say

Reviewers agree the Explorer is more enjoyable to drive than the Volkswagen it's based on, with neat handling, good pace and a long range in its bigger-battery form. The common criticisms are a firm, fidgety ride on larger wheels, a modest boot for the class and high prices for upper versions; Parkers found some materials cheap-feeling.
