What reviewers say

Reviewers agree the Frontera is spacious, practical and good value, but uninspiring to drive and noisier than the best small SUVs. Autocar and What Car? found the hybrid's ride fidgety and unsettled, and Autocar preferred the smoother, more refined electric version; What Car? also criticised the rough three-cylinder engine and grabby brakes, while Auto Express rated the ride good.
