What reviewers say

ComputerBase found modest gains over the 7900X and limited overclocking headroom without strong cooling. Puget’s Premiere Pro 2019 tests found near-identical overall performance to the 7900X and preferred the cheaper 9900K for buyers who did not need 128 GB of memory. Both question the value of upgrading an existing ten-core Skylake-X system.
