Mac mini (M6 or M5 Pro)

Released September 2026

The 2026 Mac mini is Apple's smallest and cheapest desktop, a 12.7 cm-square box with the M6 chip for everyday home and office use or the M5 Pro for developers and creative work that needs more cores, memory and Thunderbolt 5.

What reviewers say

Reviewers agree the M6 makes the tiny Mac mini noticeably faster in every area, with class-leading single-core performance, and praise its quiet running and updated connectivity. The common complaints are a higher starting price with the same 256GB base storage and expensive memory and storage upgrades; Notebookcheck and Tom's Guide still dislike the power button's placement underneath.
