What reviewers say

Both tests praise its low weight, quiet autofocus and effective stabilisation. ePHOTOzine finds outstanding centre sharpness and well-controlled colour fringing; Digital Camera World finds weaker short-end edges and noticeable fringing at 250 mm wide open. Digital Camera World considers STM a substantial improvement; ePHOTOzine was less convinced by its value over the cheaper predecessor. Both note the plastic mount.
