What reviewers say
Both find very strong wide-open sharpness, little colour fringing and effective stabilisation, with high image quality when the built-in teleconverter is engaged. They praise the controls and reduced weight compared with the F-mount 400 mm, while recognising the size and cost. Digital Camera World finds rapid action autofocus; Cameralabs finds repeatable focus but some hunting on the Z7, plus visible focus breathing and softer results when stacking the built-in and external 2× teleconverters.
