The original Nokia 6110 is a GSM 900 phone with a monochrome display, an infrared port, a calendar and three games including Snake. It stores 50 contacts in the handset as well as contacts on the SIM; the similarly named 2007 6110 Navigator is a different phone.
Monochrome graphic LCD with an 84 × 48 pixel matrix. Nokia’s original November 1997 NSE-3 UI Module documentation identifies GD40 LCD and describes one display pixel per bit in its 84 × 48 display memory. GSMArena describes five text lines. A physical diagonal remains unpublished in the retrieved documents.

Software features
Profiles, caller groups, calendar, alarm clock, calculator and the Memory, Snake and Logic games. The maker guide describes infrared two-player play where a selected game offers that mode; it does not establish multiplayer for every game.
Release detail
Nokia's 1997 annual report records the introduction in Beijing on 10 November 1997. Contemporary Digi coverage on 2 February 1998 reports that it had reached Norwegian shops. The first worldwide on-sale month has not been established; 1998 retains the supported actual-sale year without treating introduction as retail sale.
Performance
Memory
The Nokia user guide specifies 50 names in the handset phonebook, with names up to 16 characters and numbers up to 30 digits. SIM capacity depends on the SIM; the guide describes up to 250 entries. This is phonebook capacity, not user storage in GB.
Storage type
No memory-card slot (GSMArena). The exact NSE-3 maker service-document preview describes firmware flash and working memory; these are not published user storage capacity.
Connectivity
Mobile network
GSM 900. Nokia's 1997 and 1998 annual reports distinguish the 6110 from the GSM 1800 6130/6138 and GSM 1900 6190; their bands are not added to this model. No GPRS or EDGE (GSMArena).
SIM
Mini-SIM, as identified by GSMArena; the maker user guide describes installation behind the removable battery.
Wi-Fi
No Wi-Fi (GSMArena).
Bluetooth
No Bluetooth (GSMArena). Infrared supports exchanging contacts and calendar notes with compatible devices; the maker guide requires unobstructed facing ports at up to one metre.
USB
No USB (GSMArena). The maker guide describes optional Nokia Data Suite and infrared data connections; compatible accessories and a computer are separate requirements.
